Multiple Teams · New Head Volleyball Coach with a Familiar Face

The beginning of the fall sports season is upon us and the Lady Hornets volleyball team is headed in a new direction with a familiar face.  Lacee Hunter will be taking over head coaching duties this year after Lindsey Hall resigned as teacher and coach from Beech Grove High School.  Lindsey was the head coach for the past 7 years and decided to resign from both positions to become a stay-at-home mother to raise her twin girls.

Lacee Hunter grew up in Beech Grove and graduated from Beech Grove High School in 2006.  After graduating from BGHS, Lacee went on to play college volleyball at Danville College NJCAA II and Brescia University NAIA D1.  After finishing up her volleyball career, Lacee transferred to Indiana University in Bloomington to get her bachelors degree in secondary education for social studies.  Lacee has been teaching at Beech Grove Middle School since 2012.

Lacee’s coaching experience started at the middle school level, where she has coached  both 7th and 8th grade volleyball.  Last year, she moved up to the high school level as the varsity assistant coach for volleyball.  Lacee also took over as the varsity swim coach in 2014.  She will be entering her 7th year coaching volleyball and first as the head varsity coach.
