Multiple Teams · Collegiate Signing Day Event

For the 2nd year in a row, the Beech Grove High School Athletic Department will be hosting a collegiate signing event for Hornet athletes furthering their athletic and academic careers.  The event is scheduled to begin at 3:30 on May 4th in the main gym. All family, friends, teammates, and coaches are invited to attend the event.  Each athlete will have the opportunity to talk about playing for Beech Grove High School, the school they chose to continue their academic/athletic careers, and any special moments they want to share with their teammates and families.  Photo opportunities will be available and the event will be aired on Beech Grove Student News.  Below you will find a list of student-athletes participating in our signing event:

  •  Demarcus Smith
    • Demarcus signed a letter of intent to continue his football and athletic careers at Hocking College, in Nelsonville, OH
  • Cameron Cardenas
    • Cameron has announced her decision to play basketball for former BGHS standout, Katie Gearlds, at Marian University.
  • Katie Giller
    • Katie also announced her decision to play basketball for former BGHS standout, Katie Gearlds, at Marian University.
  • Reecie Gilliam
    • Reecie has announced her intentions to attend Indiana University-Southeast (New Albany) to continue her softball career. Reecie has been a 4 year starter for the BGHS softball program. Coaches site her determination, work ethic, and leadership as strong characteristics.
  • Ethan Smiley
    • Ethan will continue his academic and athletic careers at Purdue University (West Lafayette). Ethan is a 3-time conference champion, 2-time Marion County champion and 3-time state qualifier.
  • Caitlyn Bowser
    • Caitlyn will continue swimming at Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL. Caitlyn’s coach, Lacee Hunter, describes her as strong willed and motivated; “She is definitely the motivator on the team; She encourages and pushes her teammates to continue to work hard and be their best.
  • Kenny Washington
    • Hornet basketball player, Kenny Washington, has announced his intentions to continue his career at Indiana University South Bend.
  • Isaiah Green
    • Isaiah will attend Marian University in the Fall to continue his football and athletic career.
  • Aaron Wills
    • Aaron will attend DePauw University to play soccer.
  • Bailey Moore
    • Hasn’t committed to a school next year but will be announcing at the signing day event
