Good evening everyone, hope your final week of school is off to a great start! As our spring seasons wind down, we have some student athletes doing great work. Last week the boys and girls track teams competed in the IHSAA sectionals. The boys advanced 4 athletes into the regional at Franklin this Thursday:
Sophomore Josh Fryar advanced in both the shot put and discus. Junior Romeo Echols advances in the 200m: Junior Daniel Spriggs advanced in the 400 m and Senior Jarred Burns set a personal best while advancing in the pole vault.
The girls advanced 5 athletes into the Shelbyville regional this Wednesday:
Sophomore Romea Echols advanced in the 100m, while junior Alexiana Blakely advanced in the shot put. The 4 X 400 relay team of Romea Echols, Megan Goldman, Lakambria Tula and Marissa Hancock also advanced.

Tonight in the softball sectional at New Pal, our ladies pulled off a stunning late inning comeback to defeat Rushville 8-7. The ladies trailed 7-3 in the 6th inning; The girls posted 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th, then scored one more run in the bottom of the 7th to seal the victory!
Senior Reecie Gilliam was a catalyst at the plate, banging out two big hits in the late innings. Sophomore Lexi Hamm kept the Hornets close, striking out 11 batters from Rushville.
The girls are back in action Tuesday night at 7pm vs Indian Creek!
