Senior, Josh Fryar will soon be joining an elite group of football athletes as he was selected to play in the 2020 US Army All-American Bowl. On Monday, December 9th at 3:30, he will receive his All-American Bowl jersey in a special presentation and press conference. Joined by his teammates, coaches, and family we would like to extend an invitation to teachers and community members for this exciting event. The jersey presentation ceremony is quite a production designed to showcase Fryar’s hard work and accomplishments in the sport.
At BGHS playing offensive and defensive line, Josh was a relentless force. At 6’5″ and 305 lbs he was an unmistakable presence on the field. This caught the attention of many top level universities and this past year he committed to Ohio State University as an offensive lineman. This past season he recorded over 60+ pancake blocks and 8 sacks. As a more quirky stat, Fryar was also the team’s punter. Unconfirmed, we believe he was the largest punter in the state of Indiana. Fryar averaged over 40 yards per punt. Finally, Josh has earned recognition as an All-Conference and All-County athlete. In the bowl game Josh will be positioned at center.
