Bye Scholar-Athlete Award

This award recognizes a combination of a student’s high academic achievement and the participation in representing Beech Grove High School in one or more of the 20 sports sanctioned by the IHSAA. The honored Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior Scholar-Athletes will receive pins and certificates. The 10 top Seniors will receive pins, certificates, and shadow boxes that include a Varsity Letter and the scholar-athlete pins they have earned while at Beech Grove HS. The Outstanding Senior Female and Male Scholar-Athlete will have her and his name engraved on the permanent trophy, receive a large plaque, and each will receive a $4,000 college scholarship. One thing that is important for all underclassmen to understand, especially current juniors, in order to receive this award as a senior, one of our guidelines is that as a senior you must participate in at least one sport during your senior year. The criteria used to determine these honorees are the number of seasons of athletic participation, GPA, and class rank.
