Boys:
DeeJay McFerson – Football – Speedway

DeeJay had 3 interceptions in last week’s 28 -6 Sparkplug victory over Cascade. He leads the 4 – 3 Sparkplugs in rushing yards, tackles and tackles for loss and is 3rd in receiving yards.

Tony Flatt – Football – Covenant Christian

Tony is our starting middle linebacker. He has led the team with 39 tackles this month, as well as an interception.

Girls:
Savannah McNeal – Soccer – Brebeuf Jesuit Prep

Senior captain and starting GK Savannah McNeal has had a spectacular season in goal for the Braves. She has recorded 11 shutouts thus far and helped lead her team to the Marion County Tournament title (allowing 1 goal in tournament play) and Sectional title (3 shutouts). She is a nominee for All-County and All-Conference.

As a junior she lead our team to the Circle City Conference title, Sectional title and was selected 3rd team All-State, All-County and All-Conference.

Naija Gadis – Volleyball – Brebeuf Jesuit Prep

Naija Gadis is a volleyball player at Brebeuf Jesuit Prep.

Sydney Robinson – Volleyball – Brebeuf Jesuit Prep

Sydney Robinson is a volleyball player at Brebeuf Jesuit Prep.

Jessica Moran – Golf – Decatur Central

Junior Jessica Moran has been nominated as the September Female Student-Athlete of the Month. The DCHS Junior is a member of the Lady Hawks Golf Team. Jessica has proven to be a leader on this team from the start of the season. Her overall play has been phenomenal earning multiple awards for the season and helping lead the Lady Hawks to a team record of 18-2.The individual records Jessica has received this season are All-Conference, All-County, and All-Sectional honors as well as being a regional qualifier.
