The Hornets came out strong for their first meet of the year with 9 personal record swims and plenty of energy; a great way to start our season off right!
Senior Janis Vuskalns led the way with a second in the 200 IM and a first place in the 100 fly as well as stand out swims in the 200 and 400 free relays.
Senior Shamar Gentle got third in the 50 free with a time of 25.69 and Junior Kevin Kinder took a first in diving!
The 200 Free relay team of Trent Eckstein, Any Galvez, Shamar Gentle and Janis Vuskalns got second while the 400 Free relay team of Caiden Shipley, DeSean Marion, Dezmond Marion and Kayden Bourf also took second!
DeSean Marion earned swimmer of the meet with 2 personal records in his individual events the 200 and 100 Free!
The Hornets will take on Decatur away this Thursday.
