Boys Swimming Enjoys Big Week in the Water

The Beech Grove High School Swimming and Diving team, under the leadership of Coach Oskar Vuskalns, followed-up their ICC Conference Championship with another strong week. On Tuesday, January 14th, they defeated Shelbyville and Bishop Chatard.  The team results were as follows 118  Beech Grove, 99  Chatard, 90  Shelbyville. Individual Event winners were: 200 Medley relay      

Boys Swimming and Diving Brings Home Conference Championship

The Beech Grove High School Boys Swim & Dive team, under the leadership of Head Coach Oskar Vuskalns,  recently won the Indiana Crossroads Conference Title on January 11, 2014. Beech Grove won the team championship by winning 7 out of the 12 events. The final team scores were as follows:   160 – Beech Grove   125 – Speedway

Hornet Swimmers Leave Crusaders in Their Wake

The Beech Grove boys swim team defeated Scecina in their meet on Thursday, December 12 by a score 134 to 38.  The Hornets won 11 of the 12 events. Diver Matt Havens moved to #5 on Beech Grove’s All time Top 10 list of divers with his performance on Thursday. The victory ran the Hornet

Boys Swimming Challenges New Palestine

Beech Grove High School boys swimming and diving competed at New Palestine yesterday, falling by a score of 97-86.  Their loss ran their overall record to 1-1. Despite the  Hornets winning 7 of 12 events, the Dragons of New Palestine captured the team win with points awarded 5 places deep, New Pal captured the victory.

Hornet Swimmers Defeat Southport in Boys Action

The Beech Grove High School boys swim team started the season with a win over Southport on December 3rd by capturing 1st place in 9 of 12 events. The Hornets outscored the Cardinals by a score of 110 to 71. 1st place finishes were recorded by the following athletes: Allen Mayer      50 free  –  23.53
