Last year Malone Moore committed to Division I Coastal Carolina with plans to take her softball talents to the collegiate level. This past spring, Malone had a record-breaking softball season putting her name on the board in five different categories. Moore smashed 7 home runs with 50 hits and 46 RBIs. She had an on-base percentage of .658 with an overall batting average of .575. These stats also earned her a place on Indy Star’s Central Indiana Super Team. As the school year came to an end, the varsity girls’ softball team won the program's first sectional and regional championship. To kick off her senior year, Malone went on a collegiate visit to Coastal Carolina where she got to meet her new teammates and get a taste of college life down in Conway, SC. Next week, Malone Moore will seal the deal as Beech Grove Athletics hosts family, friends, and teammates for her signing day. The event will be held on Friday, November 17th at 6:30 pm in the athletic lobby at Beech Grove High School.
