This year was the second year for Beech Grove Girls’ Wrestling. The team saw a swell in numbers and had many successes throughout the season. Coming off a big team win in the holiday tournament BG hosted before Christmas, the team was hyped going into state tournament rounds. Ten BG wrestlers advanced to the Semi-State matches. Liberty Reeves defeated her opponent in the 190 lb weight class and earned a spot in the IHSGW State Finals. She will be joined by her teammates and coaches at the state meet on Friday at Kokomo High School (January 12th). On Thursday, BGHS will host a Champions Walk to cheer on Liberty’s state meet appearance. We will celebrate Liberty and the team by doing a State Champions walk during the last ten minutes of the school day.
