The Beech Grove High School Athletic Department is excited to announce our new head varsity football coach, Rajshawn Mosley. Coach Mosley comes to Beech Grove with a depth of knowledge as a player and a coach. Growing up in Indianapolis and playing at Arsenal Tech High School, Coach Mosley talked about the impact his coaches have had on him and the opportunities that created for him. That motivation, coupled with his abilities on the field, led Mosley to Division I Northern Illinois University. He played on the defensive line for two seasons with The Huskies and finished his collegiate career playing at Indiana State University. After college, Rajshawn Mosley transitioned to coaching, where he helped develop players as the defensive line coach for Perry Meridian (2019-2020) and Lawrence Central (2020-2023). This past season, he took on the head coaching duties at Christel House Academy, working with a young team of developing players. Coach Mosley is excited to get started as a Beech Grove Hornet. With a background in defense, Mosley expects a fast and physical defense on the field. He's also liking the run potential on the offensive side of the ball. With summer workouts right around the corner, coach has the playbook on top of mind. "We're going to work on execution. Once we can execute a play at 70%, we'll add a new one. Summer is going to be about how deep we can get into the playbook," said Coach Mosley. When asked about what he wants from his players as they look to upcoming workouts, Coach Mosley is looking for them to bring a positive attitude and a tremendous effort. With that, he promises a fun summer of football. We're thrilled to welcome Coach Rajshawn Mosley to the Hornet community and we wish him the best of luck as head coach of our varsity football program.
