CALLING ALL BGHS FEMALE ATHLETES... Through the NFL and the Indianapolis Colts, Beech Grove High School has an exciting opportunity for girls in grades nine through twelve with the addition of a girls' flag football team coming in the fall of 2025. Through this initiative, the goal is to have 100 high school teams throughout the state of Indiana. Beech Grove High School is the 40th school to commit as there promises to be plenty of competition and interest with high schools all around the Indianapolis area. The Indianapolis Colts will provide start-up funding, jerseys & equipment for teams, coach and player development programs, and recognition programs. This will help to ensure a successful and exciting launch and provide student-athletes with valuable resources as they explore the sport. One of the development opportunities is this weekend March 2nd at the Sunday Night 7-On-7 series. This program is brand new for girls' flag. The development session runs from 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm and is $10, with attendees receiving instruction, a shirt, and some Gatorade products. The event will be held at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center (7001 W 56th St, Indianapolis, IN 46254). The link to register is www.colts.com/sn7on7.
